Life gets busy, and it can be hard to sit down every day and journal, so here are some keeping a memory journal a little easier.
In the summer, my mom was going through old calendars and writing down in a notebook what had happened in past years. I thought this was a great idea and a very simple way to create a memory journal.
Generally, at the end of each year, I flip through my old calendar to write down birthdays and important dates into the new calendar. It is fun to see what you have done throughout the past year, but I had never thought to write it down.
My calendar hangs on the wall, and it is really easy to write down memorable things throughout the year. At the end of the month or end of the year, sit down and write out what happened each day. Over the weekend I sat down and did this for 2020 and it took about an hour. There were months that not much happened but it was nice to remember the things that did happen over the past year.
Another simple memory journal that my friend told me about is a One Line A Day Journal. Each day you write one sentence about what happened in your day. Journals can come in one to five-year layouts. These are a great way to record daily memories without writing a whole journal entry.
I hope one of these journal ideas helps you to create a collection of memories.

Natalie
